We're moving from North Carolina to the Nevada/California
state line! Approximately 3,000 miles
away from the only state I have EVER called home. I hope this blog will keep you all informed during this exciting journey.
It was one year ago, that Mike and I decided to take an "early" anniversary trip to South Lake Tahoe. Mike had been there several times before, and it is a place I had dreamed of visiting ever since I saw an HGTV special featuring Squaw Valley Ski Resort. It just looked so beautiful. When we arrived last November, it was everything I expected AND MORE! Here are a few pics from our trip last year:

It's hard to explain but we both just felt at "home" in Lake Tahoe. When we got back to North Carolina, we found ourselves talking about what our lives would be like if we lived there. One day we just decided, "Let's do it." So, we started making plans. And now we are just a few weeks away from carrying out those plans. We are extremely excited but the move is bittersweet. We are going to miss our friends and family a lot. We hope to keep in touch regularly and we welcome any/all visitors! Until then, I hope to update this blog regularly... with pictures and stories... to keep everyone "posted."
