Good Times with Adventurous Friends

I just can't seem to blog as regularly as I used to.  Life just seems to be flying by at lightning speed.  Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we had some fun and adventurous times with some good friends from North Carolina.  They have a camper van conversion company and decided to drive their awesome van across the country on an amazing road trip!  Definitely check out their website.

Mike and I had to work during the week but we got to spend some quality time with them over the weekend and tried to pack in as much fun as possible.  We went paddle boarding in Emerald Bay.  Spent an afternoon at the beach celebrating a friend's recent graduation from PTA (physical therapy assistant) school.  Ate a LOT of sushi (mine was all cooked).  Scoped out an awesome sunset.  Floated the Truckee river again (we did that last time they were in Tahoe but it was so much fun we had to do it again).

(I WAS 18 WEEKS PREGNANT AFTER ALL... DON'T WANT
TO RISK HURTING THE BABY). 

WE TOOK A LITTLE HIKE DOWN TO
BONZAI ROCK (TOP CENTER OF THE PIC).
IT'S NOT A GREAT ANGLE BUT YOU CAN
CLIMB UP THE BACKSIDE OF THE ROCK
AND JUMP OFF.  

We absolutely love having Dacia and Nathan here and already can't wait for their next visit!

I do plan to update the blog on our pregnancy for friends and family who are interested.  I have had the best of intentions but during the first trimester I was EXHAUSTED and so far during the second trimester I have been VERY busy with work and trying to get our house organized to make room for baby!  Blog update on the pregnancy coming soon!  Stay tuned!
