Allow me to update you faithful readers on several happenings around here...
First: Bucket list update!
Several weeks ago, Mike and I finally paid off his student loan!!! WooHoo! Item #1 on the bucket list is DONE! It feels GOOD to pay stuff off. I wish I could say the same thing about MY student loans... but that's a very different story.
Anyway, we celebrated the accomplishment with donuts and beer!
Seriously.

My next bucket list update is on item #32... try a new recipe every night for a month.
Whew. This one took some planning. I spent some time on Pinterest, pinning things that looked yummy and easy to make (staying away from weird ingredients). I started this challenge out strong. I was motivated. The recipes were delicious...
... and then...
... one day...
.... I just lost steam.
I got SO sick and tired of having to use a recipe for dinner! I just wanted to make spaghetti or something else completely mindless.
So, long story short: I did NOT achieve this bucket list item. But, it was a total success because we now have several new recipes to add to our rotation (which was really the goal anyway). One day I will cook the rest of the "new recipes" on my list. Not today. Today we eat an old familiar favorite that can practically be made while blindfolded: TACOS.
Perhaps I will replace item #32 with some other adventurous experience but I will need some time to think on it.
OK.... moving on from the bucket list.

Ok... so for our final update (for this blog at least): We are coming to NC in July! We will be home the 19th through the 26th! Hope to see some of you while we're there!
